    Looking into it…

It doesn’t seem like they hardcoded a blocklist from what I can tell. I don’t have an apple device so I can’t test memmy. But wefwef works on my end.

as far as I can tell nothing changed, but it’s working for me now. I guess it must have been an issue with my phone because it was still loading fine on my pc. oh well, whatever the cause it seems to have worked itself out. thank you for looking into it!

edit: well I can see my home feed in the apps but communities won’t load if I try to visit one specifically. pretty weird how random it is. lemmy.world still loads normally though so idk what the issue is.

edit 2: I can’t access the site at all on my phone now for some reason. I’ve tried with safari, memmy, and wefwef. just based on the fact it loads fine on pc I guess it’s my phone itself blocking it somehow. is that possible? very strange since every other lemmy instance I use works normally. I am using a vpn if that matters, but the same vpn is on my pc so I don’t think that’s it.

Some apps block Burggit by hardcoding it. IIRC Jerboa also did it, but someone made a fork without the block.

Really? I’m using the f-droid version of Jerboa. It loads burggit just fine.

Is that so? I read that roughly a month ago, when there was a Reddit blackout and Jerboa was still very new. Maybe they changed it or I mistook it for another app.

Can confirm. It’s not in their code. Just now checked. Maybe they just needed to update it to be compatible with the newest Lemmy version when you checked, since we’re usually on top of updates.
