Unfortunate truth of China’s extreme surveillance. They will do anything to prevent anyone from talking the bad side of their government. Not to mention she’s part (or ally?) of LGBT, which CCP also doesn’t like.

A little confused by the picture and the later content of the article. Is Naomi Wu LGBTQ or an ally?

Those numbers are pretty horrifying: 5% of people who identify as LGBTQ are out to family only 0.1% professionally? I feel very fortunate to be born to a more friendly government.

I’d say more than half of the world’s population is against LGBT, and in some (probably a lot) countries it is a crime. And even in countries who support LGBT, you can still find families who will disown any relatives who identify as LGBT. It makes sense the percentage is very low, especially in an oppressive country like China.

Honestly I don’t know to make this better; those type of people will believe any fake information about anti-LGBT as long as it align with their beliefs. I’ve personally interacted with those people. They outright ignore or deny any debunked fake anti-LGBT informations I gave. I decided it’s not worth my time and sanity and just stay away from them instead. I really hope the future generations will get more progressive.

For some reason I always thought she was a Chinese American. Shows how little I know about her.
